Games I played as a kid

My first gaming experience was in late 80s when my aunt would take me to a Nida resort town during summers. Some colleague of her would bring a computer with him. So we would visit him from time to time and he allowed me to play some games. I don’t remember what kind of computer that was. It had a color display, but that’s all I remember. There was one game that I particularly liked and played a lot, it was something like Gauntlet, but I still have to discover what that was.

The first console I had played with was some Atari 2600 clone, very likely it was called Rambo. I had it only for a very short time (probably an evening), since it was not mine and it was going to be replaced due to some issue (probably with the second controller or something). I remember playing Frogger on it.

Then instead of replacing with another Atari 2600, my cousins got something much better an UFO A-5000 console. Along with ZHILITON it was most popular famiclones in early 90s. I would say UFO is one of the very few original designs that just looks cool. There was a lot of summer evenings spent watching my cousins play on this.

This one from my own collection.

The story how I got my console was somewhat interesting. Apparently my dad got paid with some counterfeit money (it was wild early 90s in Lithuania). And my parents decided to spend it at shops that did not check the money. And since they knew that I want a video game console very much, we went to a local store and bought one. My hometown was pretty small (around 3000 people) and nevertheless we still had shops where we could by consoles in the early 90s. I don’t remember which exact model I had, but it was some variation of Terminator 2 console. Something like this one:

The TV I was playing on was a vacuum tube CRT called Tauras (manufactured in Lithuania). It was color TV, but since it was SECAM and I did not had PAL decoder installed, I played games in grayscale. I believe the following TV is exactly like the one I had.

So I went through all of the NES / Famicom library and made a list of all games I played as a kid. At least what I remember. The list is not complete and will be updated.
